Muza Terms of Use

Effective date: 9 September 2026

Muza is a Mac and iPhone app for keeping and finding the things that influence your work. It is built and maintained by one person, František Mastil, IČO 09515551, based in the Czech Republic. These terms are short on purpose and written in plain language.

The license

Muza is distributed through the Apple App Store and licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). By downloading and using Muza you agree to that license: the app is licensed, not sold, for personal use on Apple devices you own or control.

Your content stays yours

Everything you put into Muza belongs to you. There are no accounts, and your library is not stored on any server of mine. The privacy policy explains where your data lives and the few cases where anything touches the network.

What you save is your responsibility too: make sure you have the right to keep and use the things you collect, especially anything you did not create.

Muza Pro

Some conveniences are part of Muza Pro, offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, all sold through the App Store. Billing, renewal and refunds are handled by Apple: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you can manage or cancel them any time in your App Store account settings. If Pro lapses, nothing you saved is lost; the free app keeps working with your whole library.

What you can reasonably expect

Muza’s on-device AI writes titles, tags and summaries for you. It is good, but not perfect, and it can mislabel things; treat its output as a convenience, not a guarantee. Keep your own backups of anything irreplaceable; Muza gives you a full export of your library for exactly that reason. The app is provided “as is”, without warranties, and to the extent permitted by law I am not liable for indirect damages or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer.

Fair use

Do not abuse, disrupt or reverse engineer the app or its services, and do not use Muza for anything unlawful. That is it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of your own country still apply to you.

Changes

The app and these terms will change as Muza evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
